Renewable energy lab opened at UJ

AMMAN — University of Jordan (UJ) President Azmi Mahafzah on Monday opened a lab for renewable energy at the faculty of engineering, prepared by the EU programmes, Tempus and Erasmus, at a cost of over 150,000 euros, according to a UJ statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The lab includes a prototype of a car that works on fuel cell, a device that analyses combustion gases, a wind-powered generator and a tester of electric current and voltage resulting from solar energy. During the inauguration ceremony, Mahafzah said that the UJ is interested in adopting renewable energy technologies.
