Evaluation lists ways to develop Transport Ministry’s HR department

AMMAN — The Ministry of Public Sector Development has finalised the assessment of the human resources unit at the Ministry of Transport.
According to the report, a copy of which was sent to The Jordan Times, the Public Sector Development Ministry team highlighted opportunities to develop the capabilities of employees at the human resources unit and made recommendations in this regard.
The assessment process took into consideration a project to study the relevance of qualifications, skills and experiences of the Transport Ministry staff, according to Minister of Public Sector Development Khleef Al Khawaldeh.
He said the report called for merging the human resources unit and the organisational development unit to remove overlapping duties.
The report also called for preparing plans to develop the skills of human resources and to provide training to employees at the unit to be able to prepare job descriptions and staff assessments, said the minister.
