Zaben in US for meetings with top brass

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben began on Saturday a several-day official visit to the US for meetings with high-ranking military officers over issues of mutual concern.
Zaben is scheduled to meet with Chairman of US Joint Chiefs-of-Staff General Martin Dempsey and a number of high-ranking officers from the US Department of Defence for discussions over coordination and cooperation between armies of the two countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said.
While in the US, Zaben will also meet with a number of chairmen of joint chiefs-of-staff of brotherly and friendly countries.
The Royal Jordanian Air Force’s fighters are taking part in a US-led campaign against terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq.
His Majesty King Abdullah and Zaben met in Amman last week with General John Allen, the US official coordinating the international anti-terror coalition.
