AMMAN — UNRWA is currently distributing aid delivered by Tkiyet Um Ali to Gazan families staying at the agency’s schools, the tkiyet’s director, Samer Balkar, said Sunday.
The 5,000 food packages arrived in the strip last Thursday, and are the first batch of 15,000 parcels, Balkar added.
One package offers two full meals for one individual.
Donors wishing to buy packages to be sent to Gaza can call 06/4900900 or buy them from Tkiyet Um Ali’s booths at shopping centres, Balkar said, adding the one package costs JD40.
