‘Three arrested for theft from homes, cabs’

AMMAN — Personnel at the Amman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have arrested a suspect, who has a criminal record, on suspicion of robbing houses in the capital, the Public Security Department’s (PSD) media centre said on Tuesday.
A CID team was formed after receiving complaints of home burglaries, according to a PSD statement. The officers arrested the suspect, who confessed to committing 32 robberies.
Meanwhile, the northern region CID received several complaints from taxi cab drivers in Irbid, saying they were victims of individual robbery cases by two people. The CID tracked down and arrested the two suspects, who confessed to committing six robberies targeting taxi drivers.
