PSD cautions public of expected weather conditions

AMMAN — The Public Security Directorate on Wednesday called on the public to take precautions and preventive measures during the expected cold weather conditions in the coming days. 

The directorate urged people to steer clear from valleys, places where torrential rains form, and low areas, especially in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. 

On safe driving, the PSD encouraged people to check vehicles and adhere to traffic regulations. 

The directorate highlighted the importance of the safe use of heating devices of all kinds and regularly ventilating places. Stressing the possibility of dust and fog formation, the directorate warned of poor visibility. 

Stressing readiness to address reports received at the unified emergency number 911, PSD noted that all operating units are available around the clock with patrols supervising all roads.
