PSD cautions public of expected weather conditions

AMMAN — The Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Wednesday called on the public to take precautions and preventive measures during the expected cold weather conditions in the coming days. 

The directorate urged citizens to drive cautiously to prevent traffic accidents due to rain and slippery roads and adhere to traffic regulations.  The PSD also urged people to steer clear from valleys, places where torrential rains form and low areas. Stressing the possibility of dust and fog formation, the directorate warned of poor visibility especially in the dessert highways.

The directorate also highlighted the importance of the safe use of heating devices of all kinds and regularly ventilating places.  Stressing readiness to address reports received at the unified emergency number 911, PSD noted that all operating units are available around the clock with patrols supervising all roads.
