Princess Dana attends launch ceremony of local heritage, development project

AMMAN — HRH Princess Dana Firas, president of the National Association for the Conservation of Petra, on Saturday attended the launching ceremony a heritage revival project aimed at driving local development efforts, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. “Preservation of heritage is a national and humanitarian duty that reflects the identity of peoples.
We in Jordan are concerned with preserving the values emanating from heritage and highlighting them”, Princess Dana said in a speech during the ceremony. “It is essential that the preservation of heritage has a direct impact on human life, especially in the fields of development and economy so that we can improve the development process through the interest in heritage,” the Princess added.
She stressed the preparedness of the National Association for the Conservation of Petra to support the model society in carrying out its programmes and initiatives aimed at serving the homeland and the citizen.
