AMMAN — HRH Princess Alia on Thursday toured a renewable energy project set up at Al Jofeh Comprehensive Secondary School for Girls in the Southern Shuneh district.
The princess said renewable energy programmes will improve the environment of schools located in rural areas and provide them with a power source for free.
The princess delivered certificates to 12 young people at the school who had received training on operating and maintain the solar energy system, in partnership with the EU delegation in Jordan. The project is carried out in cooperation with the Education Ministry and public schools located in poverty pockets in the Jordan Valley.
