AMMAN — The Health Ministry on Sunday requested the Prime Ministry to urgently grant an exception to appoint 300 nurses this week and 100 doctors soon to compensate shortages in some health facilities, mainly in Al Bashir Hospitals, according to Health Minister Saad Jaber.
During a meeting with Al Bashir Hospitals Director Mahmoud Zreiqat, Jaber said that the ministry, in coordination with the Civil Service Bureau, has prepared “short and medium-term plans” to provide hospitals with adequate personnel in various specialisations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Zreiqat called for providing the hospital with 10 anaesthesiologists and 10 pharmacists in addition to other public health personnel without delay.
