AMMAN — The Association of the Muslim Brotherhood expressed its support of His Majesty King Abdullah and his solid stance in defending Jordan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Islamist movement, in a statement issued on Monday, said it rejected any solution that does not guarantee the right of return to all Palestinians as well as any solution that comes at the expense of Jordan.
“In the midst of the great degradation witnessed by all components of the nation, the dangers threatening Jordan and Palestine are revealed to all concerned, the latest of which is the US decision to cut funding of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, which entails the abolition of the Palestinian refugees’ right of return to their original homes”, the statement added.
The US decision “constitutes a threat to the national interests of Jordan and an increase in the economic burden on our country and our people because of the great number of Palestinian refugees in Jordan”, the statement said.
