Ministry detects 3 water theft cases

AMMAN — The Water Ministry, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, has detected three incidents of water theft on the Zara-Ma’in Pipeline, which provides drinking water to Amman.

The ministry detected other breaches on major pipelines in Zarqa's Hashmieh region in which water was illegally diverted to farms.

The illegal fixtures were removed, the ministry said, and urged the public to report violations that affect water provision and cause major interruptions in the water supply by calling 117116, according to the ministry.
