Madaba medical centre to form basis of new military hospital

AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces on Wednesday opened the Madaba Military Medical Centre, the eighth of a series opened across the Kingdom.
The facility is the nucleus of a military hospital planned by the Royal Medical Services, RMS Director Maj. Gen. Khalaf Sarhan said Wednesday.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben opened the centre, which currently treats more than 3,000 cases per month.
The facility includes dentistry, internal medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology and general surgery clinics, and also houses laboratory, X-ray and pharmacy departments.
