AMMAN — The Lower House on Wednesday stressed that the occupation forces' invasion of Al Aqsa Mosque during dawn prayers and the brutal aggression against worshippers which followed demonstrate that "this entity perpetuates state terrorism" and reflects an organised extremist approach that is no less dangerous than the practices of terrorist groups.
In a statement, the Chamber said that the international community and its active forces should support consciousness and humanity, and must act to stop the "crime and murder machine" against the unarmed Palestinian people, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The House also noted that the synchronisation of the attacks with the holy month of Ramadan constitutes an abuse of all Muslims, which requires Arab and Islamic states to act effectively to stop the crimes of the occupying power.
The Lower Chamber also called on the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation member states and other international parliamentary federations and divisions to take a clear position on the criminal acts against Jerusalemites.
Additionally, the Lower House stressed that the silence of the international community on the occupation's “terrorist practices” against the Palestinian people is a "disgrace to all humanity".
The Lower House also reaffirmed its rejection of the occupation’s attempts to alter the legal status quo in Jerusalem and to tamper with Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem. The Lower House reaffirmed that it maintains its solidarity with the Palestinian people until their legitimate rights on their national soil are realised.
