King visits Eastern Military Zone

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, visited the Eastern Military Zone on Tuesday. 

King Abdullah was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben, who is also the King’s military adviser, and was briefed by the zone commander on its duties and training programmes. 

His Majesty watched several training and field exercises, which included demonstrations on the use of different weapons and of rapid reaction forces, supported by helicopters. 

During the visit, the King expressed his satisfaction with the level of the military zone's personnel, a Royal Court statement said.
