King attends tactical military exercise

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, attended a tactical military exercise in the Southern Military Zone on Thursday.

In the presence of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben, who is also the King’s military adviser, King Abdullah was briefed on the procedures and preparations for the drill.

The Monarch watched field and live ammunition exercises, backed by F16, helicopters and surveillance and evacuation aircraft of the Royal Jordanian Air Force.

King Abdullah commended the distinguished level and the professionalism of army personnel.
