King congratulates Indian PM on election win

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah has sent a cable to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, congratulating him on his party’s win in the Lok Sabha legislative elections.

In the cable, King Abdullah reaffirmed the deep-rooted friendship between Jordan and India, as well as keenness to develop cooperation in various fields, according to a Royal Court statement. His Majesty also wished Prime Minister Modi success, and the people of India further prosperity and progress.
