AMMAN — The Ministry of Justice and the Zaha Cultural Centre on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to oversee the implementation of alternative non-custodial sentences as part of efforts to enhance partnerships with accredited alternative justice entities.

The ministry’s Secretary-General for Judicial Affairs, Saad Al Louzi, and CEO of Zaha Cultural Centre Rania Sobeih signed the MoU.

Louzi said that this memorandum is an expansion of existing alternatives for community service, where the centre has provided a number of jobs and places to be included under the category of community service, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The Ministry of Justice has signed 16 memorandums of understanding in addition to this memorandum, bringing the total number to 17.
