AMMAN — The Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD), the Health Ministry and the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop clinical practices for providing diagnoses for people with disabilities in the Kingdom.

HH Prince Mired, HCD president, stressed that the memo is an “important step” towards realising integration and partnership in implementing diagnosis policies in Jordan and developing the level of health services offered to people with disabilities, according to an HCD statement.

Health Minister Saad Jaber said that the ministry is keen on cooperating with the HCD to offer high quality services to people with disabilities and preserve their rights.

HCAC executive director Salma Jauni said that this is the second memo between the three sides, noting that it aims at developing clinical practices in line with feedback from the first MoU.
