AMMAN — Five families affected by the Jabal Luweibdeh building collapse on Thursday were given the deeds to their new homes, as per Royal directives. His Majesty King Abdullah followed up with the rescue operations and ordered that the affected families be given new apartments at his expense, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
During the ceremony, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi, head of the follow-up committee for these initiatives, highlighted Royal instructions to deliver urgent humanitarian assistance, including housing. Issawi also visited one of the families in their new fully-furnished residence in Amman.
The beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the Royal gesture, noting that when the incident took place, the King instructed the government to provide temporary housing to those affected by the collapse
