Investment minister, DCO secretary-general discuss investment, ICT cooperation

AMMAN — Minister of Investment Kholoud Saqqaf and Secretary-General of Digital Corporation Organisation (DCO) Dima Bint Yahyah on Tuesday discussed cooperation in promoting investment in information and communications technology (ICT). Saqqaf said that ICT is one of the most competitive and fastest growing sectors, highlighting the incentives and competitiveness of investment in Jordan, including infrastructure, which has attracted international companies, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. "Jordan offers a package of incentives, customs exemptions and tax reductions, investments in the sector, including software development companies, mobile app developers, and call centre operators." Saqqaf also pointed out that the Ministry has automated all of its services related to licensing economic activities, thereby facilitating a more efficient and investor-friendly environment.
