Interior minister orders release of 389 administrative detainees ahead of eid

AMMAN — Interior Minister Mazen Faraiah on Saturday instructed the governors and administrative officials to release 389 administrative detainees who are not involved in racketeering due to the upcoming Eid Al Adha holiday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The minister said that their release comes after thoroughly reviewing their files to ensure that they will not pose a threat to themselves or to public security. Their release aims to provide them the opportunity to re-engage in society, according to the minister.
