546 administrative detainees to be released for Eid Al Fitr

AMMAN — Interior Minister Mazen Faraya on Thursday instructed administrative governors to release 546 administrative detainees who are not involved in racketeering.

Their release comes after thoroughly reviewing their files to ensure that they will not pose a threat to themselves or to public security, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The move, on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, aims to provide them the opportunity to re-engage in society, Petra said.
