AMMAN — President of the Independent Elections Commission (IEC) Khaled Kalaldeh on Sunday said that the ballot paper to be accredited for the upcoming Lower House elections on September 20, will be in the form of a booklet.
The booklet will include the names of the lists in every electoral district and the names of the candidates, Kalaldeh told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, in an interview.
He indicated that ballots will include 18 security features like those in currency notes, Petra, reported. Kalaldeh said that the IEC has referred to the Law Interpretation Bureau a number of questions related to election regulations, particularly the issue of identifying whether women can run for the quota of 15 seats while still competing for the seats outside the quota.
