Health Ministry receives 60,000 medical face masks from Syrian American Medical Society

AMMAN — The Health Ministry on Thursday received 60,000 medical face masks from the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) to help the ministry’s efforts to combat the pandemic.

The ministry said that the donation aims to develop the capabilities of the health sector and boost the strategic reserve of medical equipment, noting that the donation highlights the importance of global solidarity to face the pandemic.

A SAMS representative praised the ministry’s role in dealing with the pandemic and the society’s role in supporting the health sector through donations worth some JD150,000, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. SAMS also said that the donation is a gesture of appreciation of the ministry’s role in offering medical care for Syrian refugees.
