Emir of Qatar honours outstanding officer candidates from Jordan

AMMAN — Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani on Wednesday bestowed honours in Doha upon the 19th batch of candidates for officers in the armed forces, the Ministry of interior, and security agencies at Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College. The 315 officers from Jordan, Kuwait, Iraq and Qatar were recognised for their academic excellence after completing a four-year programme at the college, covering various military sciences such as parachute jumping, lightning course, diving course, military diploma, and academic university specialisations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Notable awardees included two graduates from Jordan, officer candidate Mohammed Fuqaha excelling in law specialisation, and officer candidate Mohammed Abu Ammash received the first position in accounting. The graduation ceremony was attended by the Jordanian Ambassador to Qatar Zaid Mufleh Lozi.
