eFAWATEERcom sees 20% increase in e-payments

AMMAN — CEO of MadfooatCom Alaa Al Salal on Saturday noted that e-payments conducted through the "eFAWATEER.com" system increased a significant 20 per cent during the first five months of the year. Speaking on the sidelines of the Fintech Summit Middle East, organised by "Moments Innovation", Salal noted that around JD49.2 million in payments have been made and approximately 150.5 million transactions have been completed since the launch of the system in late 2015, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. He also revealed that during the January-May period of this year, payments through "eFAWATEERcom" went up by 15.7 per cent, reaching a total value of JD5.01 billion, compared with JD4.3 billion during the same period last year.
