Department of Palestinian affairs meets Japanese experts to discuss current events

AMMAN — Director General of the Department of Palestinian Affairs Rafiq Khirfan on Monday held talks with Japanese experts on the repercussions of the Israeli aggression on Gaza and its regional impact. The two sides went over the mechanisms for tourism investment in Jordan to provide job opportunities, to reduce unemployment rates, and the nature of the department's work and the Palestinian refugee camps, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Khirfan reviewed several joint activities that the department implemented in cooperation with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency, mainly projects that were held at camps and had a big role in improving the living conditions of many women. The director general also spoke about tourism in Jordan and top tourist attractions in the Kingdom and the ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic on the tourism sector in Jordan between 2020 and 2022.
