Bahraini, German delegations received at Lower House

AMMAN — The Lower House education and culture committees and a German parliamentary delegation representing the education and technology committees at the Bundestag on Sunday discussed issues of common interest for both countries, especially at the parliamentary and educational levels.
MP Musleh Tarawneh called for increasing German scholarships to Jordanian students and establishing development projects in the Kingdom’s governorates, in order to address poverty and unemployment, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
German delegates expressed their appreciation for Jordan’s efforts in dealing with various regional issues and hosting Syrian refugees. Meanwhile, Tarawneh and other panel members met with the Bahraini cultural attaché and Bahraini students, discussing problems they face and possible solutions.
