House education committee inquires about university brawl

AMMAN — Members of the Lower House's education committee on Monday met with University of Jordan President Azmi Mahafzah to get acquainted with university issues and the details on the recent brawl that happened on campus.
MP Musleh Tarawneh, head of the panel, called for applying the law on those found to be involved in the fight, without exceptions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Tarawneh warned against the dangers of such acts if perpetrators are not punished. Mahafzah called for a code of conduct for university employees and students to avert violence on campus.
