Teacher training institute to be established at UJ

AMMAN — University of Jordan President Azmi Mahafzah and Queen Rania Teacher Academy CEO Haif Banayyan on Tuesday signed a cooperation agreement to establish a training institute for teachers on campus.
The agreement aims at developing the quality of education in Jordan by providing teachers with the necessary skills before they start working at schools, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Mahafzah highlighted the importance of developing the education sector further.
Banayyan said there has to be supportive policies for the teaching profession to make it attract the top graduates.
