Army chief receives Kenya counterpart

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Tuesday met with Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces Gen. Robert Kibochi and an accompanying delegation. The visit falls within the framework of boosting joint military cooperation with other countries.
Huneiti and Kibochi discussed prospects for cooperation and means of boosting them in the interest of both countries’ armed forces, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Huneiti and Kibochi were briefed on the modernisation of weapons, tasks and equipment in the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, which were introduced to cope with regional developments. Kibochi stressed the depth of ties and the importance of continuing cooperation between the two countries’ armed forces, lauding Jordan’s role in achieving security and stability in the region.
