Amman municipality cracks down on health violations

AMMAN — Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) inspection teams have closed 10 commercial centres in the capital since the beginning of Ramadan, due to health violations, an official said on Tuesday.
Mervet Mhairat, director of the health monitoring department at GAM, said 400 kilogrammes of food items have been destroyed in addition to 2,250 litres of drinks sold by vendors.
