AMMAN — Al Afaf Charity Society on Friday held its 27th mass wedding, where 30 couples got married. The society’s director, Mufeed Sarhan, said that the mass wedding aimed to reduce marriage expenses and strengthen social bonds.
The group ceremonies are open to the public, he added, noting that the society distributes financial aid for the couples.
More than 1,500 couples have benefitted from mass weddings organised by the society since its establishment in 1993, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
