AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) on Tuesday seized 100,000 pills hidden in an abandoned bag at the Omari border crossing.
Public Security Directorate's (PSD) spokesperson said that AND personnel on duty at the crossing became suspicious of a bag left in one of the courtyards, adding that upon further inspection, the bag was found to contain 100,000 narcotic pills, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Authorities have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend suspects involved in the case, the spokesperson added.
