Four Seasons Hotel Amman: Celebrating 20 years of excellence

Jul 02,2023 - Last updated at Jul 02,2023

Four Seasons Hotel Amman will host a gala dinner on July 6 to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

For the past two decades, the hotel, which was inaugurated by His Majesty King Abdullah and Her Majesty Queen Rania in May 2003, has stood out as an icon of luxury, as its owners were the pioneers in introducing luxury hotels to Amman and the first purpose-built Four Seasons in the Middle East region.

Four Seasons was the first landmark in the "hotel district", building a special and unique relationship with its guests locally, regionally and internationally.

A new milestone was announced in 2023 when the property achieved the coveted Five-Star Forbes Travel Guide rating for the second year in a row; another remarkable achievement was ranking fourth on Travel & Leisure’s rundown of the Best City Hotels in North Africa and the Middle East.

By prioritising personalised service, investing in employee training and development (around 400 Jordanians are employed by the hotel), and constantly striving for excellence in all areas, Four Seasons Hotel Amman is contributing to the booming tourism sector, which achieved a 110 per cent increase in revenues last year, breaking a historical record at a time when the world was struggling to recover from the repercussions of COVID-19.

After all, Four Seasons Hotel Amman is doing very well at attracting and delighting discerning travellers from around the world by offering unique experiences in the destination that include exclusive excursions to Pella and Umm Qais, discovering Petra through the lens of Four Seasons, and a unique partnership with the Royal Automobile Museum focusing on Jordan’s heritage and culture.

The hotel's success can be attributed to a number of factors, not the least of which is its unwavering commitment to genuine service.

The Four Seasons brand is renowned for its guest-centric approach. From the moment guests arrive, they are welcomed with warmth and hospitality that are both genuine and intuitive. These are keywords in brand building, as every aspect of the guest experience should be carefully considered, authentic and delivered with genuine care.

Every service provider in this realm cannot compromise on perfection, simply because the competition worldwide is fierce, and options opened for international travellers are diverse and accessible.

The achievements of Four Seasons Amman indicate adherence to the best global practices of hospitality over the past two decades, and the challenge, of course, is not reaching the summit, but staying there, and remaining always steps ahead of others.

A piece of advice to the media: Keep an eye on achievers like Four Seasons Hotel Amman, analyse the case, extract lessons, and share them with your readers and viewers.

This is the least that can be done in the service of the country, through professional, aware and insightful coverage of the promising tourism sector.

We have a battle to fight and our heroes should be celebrated.

Thanks to its founders and employees, Four Seasons Hotel Amman has not only succeeded as a business model, but it has also built an exceptional reputation and an example to follow.
