Ministry to ensure development projects heed environmental concerns

AMMAN — The Environment Ministry, in cooperation with UNDP, on Thursday launched the “International Rio Conventions for Jordanian Development” project, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Environment Minister Taher Shakhshir said the project aims at helping the ministry ensure that the concepts of the Rio Conventions are taken into account in national development projects.
