AMMAN — The Public Affairs Section at the US embassy In Jordan has announced its Jordan Alumni Grants Programme for 2020, which targets Jordanians who have participated in the section’s Amman-managed exchange programmes, alumni of the English Access Microscholarship programme in Jordan and the Inspire programme in Jordan, according to an embassy statement on Wednesday.
Awards of up to $15,000 may be granted, which serve as one-time opportunities to support alumni in their efforts to launch projects that build on their participation in exchange programmes. Projects should also be designed to be sustainable after the performance period is over, the statement said.
Grant proposals, which may be submitted by one alumnus or a group of alumni, should show how the proposed activities develop and share the skills and expertise the alumni gained during their programme, how the proposed activities continue the purpose or theme of the alumni’s programme and how the project benefits other Jordanians, according to the statement.
The deadline for Cycle A is April 30, while applications for Cycle B must be submitted by June 30, the statement said. For further information, the embassy encourages alumni to visit its website: (https://bit.ly/3b0BM1C). For questions, alumni can write to [email protected].
