AMMAN — Members of the Senate’s National Dialogue Initiative on Wednesday met with representatives and members of Karak’s youth movements, in the presence of the governor and mayor of the southern Jordanian governorate.
During the meeting, the head of the initiative’s committee, Rabeha Dabbas, reaffirmed that youth are the catalyst of development and the cornerstone of the country’s future, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The importance of their role is evident in His Majesty King Abdullah’s Discussion Papers, she added, which call for new, innovative approaches to engage with youth and their aspirations.
President of Mutah University Thafer Sarayrah said that the committee’s efforts would help enable the youth to advance their role in the endeavour of safeguarding the country’s achievements and pushing Jordan forward.
