UAE condemns attack on Jordanian peacekeepers in Mali

AMMAN — The UAE on Thursday condemned the terrorist attack on a patrol convoy, which led to the death of a Jordanian peacekeeper and the injury of three others, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed the UAE’s denouncement of these criminal acts, reiterating its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at destabilising security and stability, against humanitarian values and principles.
The ministry expressed its solidarity with the Jordanian Rapid Deployment Force, which participates along with the international peacekeeping forces of the UN in operations to maintain security, stability and peace and provide humanitarian aid to affected peoples in various conflict areas in the world.
Expressing condolences to the Jordanian government and people as well as the family of the victim of this “heinous crime”, the ministry also conveyed its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.
