Two dangerous individuals’ arrested in Balqa region

AMMAN — A joint security operation by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel led to the arrest of two “dangerous and armed individuals” in separate raids in the Balqa region.

The Public Security Directorate's (PSD) spokesperson on Sunday said that the first raid targeted a “highly dangerous individual” wanted on several charges, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

After tracking and identification, the suspect was arrested. A firearm and ammunition were seized, the spokesperson said.

In the second raid, AND personnel arrested another “highly dangerous individual” wanted on state security charges. The operation resulted in the seizure of marijuana found in his possession, the PSD spokesperson said.
