Top officials pay tribute to legacy of King Hussein

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Sunday, on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the passing of His Majesty King Hussein, said that Jordanians remember a life of development and achievement, which has been enhanced during the reign of His Majesty King Abdullah.
Celebrating the 22nd anniversary of King Abdullah's assumption of constitutional powers, Fayez said that King Abdullah is going on with the development process with “limitless ambitions” to build a model state capable of facing challenges with resolution, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Also on Sunday, Lower House Speaker Abdulmunim Oddat paid tribute to King Hussein who laid the foundations of the Kingdom and referred to King Abdullah's efforts in moving forward with the development process.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Media Affairs Ali Al Ayed said that Jordanians stand behind His Majesty in leading the development and achievement process towards the Kingdom's second centennial, Petra reported.
Speaking to the Jordan Radio, Ayed remembered the sacrifices and achievements of the late King Hussein who devoted his life for the service of his people and Arab and Islamic causes.
The minister also said that King Abdullah managed over the past 22 years to lead Jordan towards several achievements despite the obstacles.
