Three dead, one injured in explosion at smuggled fuel warehouse

SOUTHERN BADIA — Three people died and another was injured on Monday from an explosion at a warehouse stocked with smuggled fuel, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, quoted Maan Civil Defence Department (CDD) Director Lt. Col. Salem Sarayrah.
The officer said the reason behind the explosion was still unknown, adding that the dead were found inside and the injured was outside the warehouse. The injured was admitted to Queen Rania Hospital in Petra where he was listed in fair condition, whereas the two bodies were taken to Maan Public Hospital and later identified as Saudis.
