Tarawneh says UNRWA funding crisis being ‘intensively followed’

AMMAN — Speaker of the Lower House Atef Tarawneh said that Jordan added the “UNRWA funding crisis” item to the Arab Inter-parliamentary Union agenda and is being “intensively followed” in coordination with concerned Arab and Islamic bodies.
He made his remark during a meeting with outgoing Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan Tarek Adel, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Tarawneh also noted that his Majesty King Abdullah and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi are “moving steadily” towards a strong and stable relationship while Adel pointed out that Jordan and Egypt are enjoying an “outstanding relationship”, expressing both leaders’ common stances regarding various regional issues.
