Tafileh electricity company workers go on strike; no power cuts expected

TAFILEH — Workers at the electricity distribution company in Tafileh went on strike on Tuesday, demanding higher salaries.
The workers said the strike will not lead to any power cuts or disruptions but strikers will refrain from performing financial and administrative duties.

Engineers at the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (JPRC) on Sunday started an open-ended strike to demand higher salaries, with assurances that fuel distribution will not be affected.
Jordanian Electric Power Company (JEPCO) employees ended their strike on Tuesday after the company management met their demands, Electricity Workers Union (EWU) President Ali Hadid said.
