AMMAN — There are 20 governmental, non-governmental, local, private and international institutions that provide maternal healthcare to Syrians outside camps, the Higher Population Council (HPC) said in a study released on Tuesday.
The study, prepared in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), concluded that the Health Ministry is the only institution that provides comprehensive services, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The study recommended preparing a strategy to raise awareness among Syrians of maternal health, family organisations and available service.
