'Siq Stability' project shortlisted for regional award

AMMAN —The "Siq Stability" project has been shortlisted among 14 projects to win ICCROM-ATHAR Regional Conservation Centre Award, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
ICCROM will organise the first session of the Arab Cultural Heritage Forum, which will take place from February 6-8 at Sharjah. The project aims to mitigate the hazards of rock falls, earthquakes, floods and weathering in the entrance of the historical city of Petra.
Organisers of the award said that 14 projects from nine Arab countries have been chosen out of a "large" number of projects that aim to protect cultural heritage.
