KARAK — Transport Minister Lina Shbeeb on Saturday inaugurated a new bus terminal in eastern Karak which cost JD4 million.
The new station can accommodate 120 public buses in 79 lanes on a 34-dunum plot of land.
Shbeeb said the terminal was designed according to the latest international standards, and will contribute to improving public transportation services in the governorate, some 140km south of Amman.
She said it will run buses operating intergovernorate routes between Karak and other cities, noting that buses linking Amman with Southern Mazar, Qasir and Mutah University will stay at their old locations.
