Senate Legal Committee endorses constitutional amendments

AMMAN — The Senate's Legal Committee on Monday endorsed constitutional amendments as referred from the Lower House.
During a meeting headed by Senate President Faisal Fayez, committee head Ahmad Tbeishat said that the meeting continued deliberations on the constitutional amendments that the panel began discussing on Sunday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Lower Chamber on Thursday endorsed the amendments with a majority of 104 votes out of 112 lawmakers, before referring the amendments to the Senate, which is scheduled to discuss them during a session slated for next Wednesday.
