Senate committee approves temporary labour law

AMMAN — The Senate’s joint “legal and labour” committee on Thursday endorsed the 2019 amendments to the temporary labour law No. 26 of 2010, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The meeting, which was chaired by President of the Legal Committee Senator Kamal Barham, was attended by President of the Labour and Social Development Committee Sawsan Majali and Labour Minister Samir Murad, among others.
Barham said that the law is meant to help the government keep up with the labour market’s changes and ease the law’s application.
